Doing It Afraid

Brave Heart

“Let us not forget

that we are capable

of caring in ways

that we cannot

yet even imagine.”

-Morgan Leigh Callison

June Greetings!

As the end of May approached, I found my headspace fogged out and my body heavy. It felt like I was lugging a bag of bricks everywhere I went. These symptoms are typically my personal queue to tune in with the weather, my energetic boundaries, and the astrological happenings. I did some research, and when I learned that Saturn was getting ready to move into Aries, which only happens every 29-30 years, it all started to make sense.

I have a love - hate relationship with Saturn. Saturn is one of the two "teacher planets". It asks us to look towards long-term changes, where immediate gratification and reward might not be available. When I'm leaning into resentment of Saturn's lessons, I see them as trying to impose restriction, rules, and discipline upon me. When I have access to appreciation for Saturn's lessons, I can see how they are asking me to mature, as I bring something new into form within my life, even though it might be scary, irritating, and uncomfortable.

Several astrologers, like Pam Gregory, have traced back through astrological history to see the last time Saturn and Neptune entered into zero degrees (the creator degree) of Aries at the same time. They haven't been able to locate this pattern in the archives of the solar system. This is big! And I can feel it in my body and see it playing out in my living. It feels like mini personal explosions. This vision makes sense to me as I see the world as we know it exploding and the heavens asking the collective to step up and rally for a new dream.

The more I sit with the alchemy of Saturn and Neptune in Aries, the clearer I am that they are asking me to return to the essence of the Beginner's Mind. For me, it's a beginners mind with my work, how I treat myself, and what dream I want to contribute to for the collective culture. It is frightening, and it is necessary. So with the pioneering energy of Aries, the maturity of Saturn, and the dreamy intuition of Neptune, I am setting out to do it afraid.

What have you been noticing? What is this zero degree expression of Saturn and Neptune in Aries asking of you? I'd love to hear from you! Drop me an email!

Much love to you and your spirit,

Sara
